Frequently asked questions
How far is Porto from Lisbon?
It is about 300 km, roughly a three hour drive by the direct route. With stops, most of our transfers run closer to a full day.
How do I choose between the Porto tours and transfers?
If Porto is a destination in itself, the heritage and wine day trip covers the historic center, the river and Gaia's cellars in one private day. If you are travelling between Lisbon, the Alentejo coast or the Vicentine coast and Porto anyway, one of our scenic transfers turns that drive into the experience, with or without a Douro Valley detour.
Is port wine tasting included?
Yes, a port wine tasting in Vila Nova de Gaia, across the river from Porto's historic center, is included in our Porto heritage and wine day trip.
Can I add stops to a Lisbon to Porto transfer?
Yes. Fátima, Coimbra, Óbidos, Nazaré and the Douro Valley all sit along or near the route, so our transfers can be built around whichever of them you want to see on the way.
Does a Porto transfer work from outside Lisbon?
Yes, we also run private transfers to Porto from the Alentejo and Vicentine coast, for guests who are not starting their trip in Lisbon.
