Itinerary

Day 1 — Lisbon to Porto via Óbidos, Nazaré & Alcobaça

We collect you from your hotel in the Lisbon area in the morning and head north. Our first stop is Óbidos, a walled medieval town you can explore on foot along its cobbled streets and castle ramparts. From there we continue to Nazaré, known for its dramatic cliffside setting and, in winter, some of the biggest waves in the world — we stop at the Sítio viewpoint for the view over the beach below. Next is the Monastery of Alcobaça, a UNESCO World Heritage Site; we visit the church, which is free to enter. We arrive in Porto in the late afternoon, where we drop you at your hotel for the night (accommodation in Porto isn't included — see "What's included" below).

Day 2 — Porto sightseeing & return to Lisbon via Fátima

Your driver-guide collects you from your Porto hotel in the morning for a day of guided sightseeing: the Ribeira district along the Douro river, the Dom Luís I Bridge, and Porto's historic centre. In the afternoon we start the drive back to Lisbon, stopping in Fátima, one of the world's most visited Catholic shrines — entry to the Sanctuary is always free. We continue on to Lisbon, typically arriving in the early evening.
