A two-day private tour from Lisbon to Porto and the Douro Valley, with an experienced guide-interpreter and a vehicle that's just for your group, air-conditioned throughout.
It's a long way from Lisbon — about 3h30 each way on the highway — so we split the drive over two days: Porto and the river on day one, the vineyards of the Douro on day two. Pickup is anywhere in the greater Lisbon area, at no extra charge.
Prefer more time in the Douro? We also run this as a 3-Day Lisbon to Porto & Douro Valley tour. And if you only need the drive itself, our private transfers cover the route on their own — Lisbon to Porto and Porto back to Lisbon.

Itinerary
Day 1 — Lisbon to Porto
The drive north
We leave Lisbon in the morning and head up the highway to Porto, with a stop along the way to stretch your legs. Plan on around 3h30 on the road.
Porto and a Port wine tasting
In Porto, we'll walk through the historic center along the Douro riverfront, then cross to Vila Nova de Gaia for a Port wine tasting in one of the traditional cellars. You'll spend the night in Porto — the hotel isn't included, but we're happy to suggest places to stay.
Day 2 — Into the Douro Valley
Along the river to Pinhão
We drive east along the Douro, one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world, with terraced vineyards climbing the hillsides on both banks.
Tastings in Pinhão
In Pinhão, right on the river, we stop for a Port wine tasting, a regional table wine tasting, and an olive oil tasting — three products this region is known for.
Back to Lisbon
From Pinhão it's the same long drive in reverse, about 3h30 on the highway, arriving back in Lisbon in the evening.
