Itinerary
We collect you from your hotel in the Lisbon area and drive north on the A1 motorway, about 1 hour and 15 minutes, to the Sanctuary of Fátima. You have time to take in the esplanade, the small Chapel of Apparitions and the basilicas at your own pace, with your driver-guide on hand to explain the history. From there we continue to Nazaré, around 45 minutes away, for the Sítio viewpoint high above the town — the same cliffs where the world's largest surfable waves break in winter — and free time for a seafood lunch overlooking the water (not included). The last stop is medieval Óbidos, about 40 minutes further, where you can wander the flower-lined cobblestone streets inside the 14th-century castle walls and try a shot of ginjinha, the local sour cherry liqueur, often served in a small chocolate cup. We head back to Lisbon once you're ready, typically arriving in the early evening.

There's very little to plan for at any of the three stops. The Sanctuary of Fátima is free to enter throughout. Nazaré's viewpoint and beach are open and free — the funicular between the beach and the Sítio clifftop is optional and costs a couple of euros if you'd rather not use the road. Óbidos' castle walls and streets are freely walkable; the only thing worth paying for is a shot of ginjinha in the old town, which costs a euro or two and isn't served to anyone underage.
This is a full day covering real distance, so it suits travelers happy with a fair amount of driving between stops. Infants can't travel on laps; if you need an infant seat, tell us the ages when you book and we'll have one ready. The vehicle isn't wheelchair- or stroller-accessible.
We'll need your hotel name and street address to arrange pickup. If your hotel isn't listed but falls within Greater Lisbon, just tell us after booking — there's no extra charge for the pickup.
