Évora & Monsaraz: Alentejo Traditions Private Tour from Lisbon

A private day tour from Lisbon into the heart of the Alentejo, with an experienced driver-guide and a vehicle that's just for your group, air-conditioned throughout. It's a full day, so we set off early to give each stop room to breathe.

We start with two of the region's traditional crafts: cork in Azaruja, one of the materials the Alentejo is best known for, and pottery in São Pedro do Corval, home to one of Portugal's largest clusters of working potters. From there we continue to Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city, where your driver-guide walks you through the Chapel of Bones, the Roman Temple and the Medieval Cathedral, with time to try the local food. We close the day in Monsaraz, a small fortified hilltop village of whitewashed houses and a medieval castle, with wide views over the Alqueva lake, before returning to Lisbon.
