Duca has been running private day trips out of Lisbon since 2003. The Arrábida Peninsula is one of the least-visited corners of the Lisbon region, and the wineries we work with are small, family-run producers rather than large commercial estates.
Itinerary
We collect you from your hotel in the Lisbon area and drive south across the river, about 40 minutes, into the Arrábida Natural Park. The road along the Serra da Arrábida offers some of the best coastal views near Lisbon, with stops to take in the limestone cliffs above Portinho da Arrábida and the Sado estuary. From there we continue to the first winery of the day, where your host walks you through a guided tasting of several wines from the Setúbal Peninsula's two DOC regions, Palmela and Setúbal. We then stop in Azeitão, a village known across Portugal for its cheese and its wine cellars, before visiting a second winery for a further tasting — between both stops you'll try 12 different wines from 4 terroirs and 3 grape varieties unique to the region. We head back to Lisbon in the late afternoon, typically arriving in the early evening.

It isn't recommended for anyone with heart conditions or who is pregnant, and infants can't travel on laps — please tell us the ages of everyone in your group when you book. The vehicle isn't wheelchair- or stroller-accessible, and there's no public transportation near the wineries, so this tour only runs as a private, door-to-door trip.
We'll need your hotel name and street address to arrange pickup. If your hotel isn't listed but falls within Greater Lisbon, just tell us after booking — there's no extra charge for the pickup. Bookings need to be made at least 1 day before departure.
